Mongla: President Abdul Hamid visited Pashur Channel of the Pashur river here on Thursday, the last day of his two-day tour to Khulna.

The President, along with his wife Rashida Khanam and some other family members took a boat-ride to witness the overall situation of the channel here.

He enquired about the navigability of the Pashur river as well as other transport facilities and establishments in the area.

Abdul Hamid also talked to the officials concerned and the common people there.

President expressed his satisfaction about the overall situation of the Pashur Chanel as well as the  Mongla Port.

Mongla Port Authority Chairman Commodore AKM Faruque Hasan, secretaries concerned to the President, senior civil and military officials accompanied the President during the visit.

President returned to Dhaka in the afternoon.
