Narsingdi: A suspected robber was killed in a lynch-mob attack at Mandertek in Manohardi upazila of Narsingdi early on Friday.

The deceased could not be identified yet.

Fakhruddin Bhuiyan, officer-in-charge of Manohardi Police Station, said a gang of robber sswooped on the house of one Faizuddin around 2:00am.

When an announcement was made from a local mosque about the presence of the robbers locals rushed to the house and encircled it.

When the robbers were fleeing local people chased them and caught one of them while the others managed to flee.

They also gave him a good thrashing, leaving him dead.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to local hospital morgue.
