Comilla: Miscreants attacked police and snatched two accused from their custody in Soroshpur area on Monoharganj upazila of Comilla on Sunday night, leaving six policemen injured.

Locals said that a team of police in a drive arrested Saddam and Yunus, accused in several cases including of murder, around 7:15 pm.

At one stage, their accomplices swopped on police and snatched them.

Anwar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Monoharganj Police Station, said the criminals snatched the duo injuring six policemen, including two sub-inspectors and three assistant sub-inspectors.

Police is now conducting drive to arrest the accused, said the OC.
