Tasfia killing: One remanded in Chattogram

Chattogram: A court here on Friday placed Mizanur Rahman alias Asif Mizan on a three-day remand over the killing of schoolgirl Tasfia Amin.
Metropolitan Magistrate Al Imran Khan passed the order in the afternoon when police produced Asif before the court seeking a seven-day remand, said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Nirmalendu Bikash Chawkrabarty, reports the UNB.
Earlier on Wednesday, police arrested Asif, a friend of Tasfia’s ‘boyfriend’ Adnan Mirza, from Panchlaish in the city.
On May 2, Patenga police recovered the body of Tasfia Amin, 15, a ninth grader of Sunshine Grammar School, from riverside of the Karnaphuli in Patenga Naval Road area.
Adnan was arrested from Jalalabad Housing Society area under Khulshi Police Station in the city on the same day.
Tasfia’s father filed a case accusing six people, including Adnan Mirza, on 3 May over the murder.
