Sirajganj: A physically challenged woman was hacked to death allegedly by some unidentified miscreants in Digholiya village of Tarash upazila on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Roksana Khatun, 22, daughter of late Toijal Pramanik of the village.

Roksana was living with her brother’s family, said Mofizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Tarash Police Station.

On Friday night, some unidentified miscreants attacked her and hacked her to death, police said.

Hearing the scream, her brother and sister-in-law tried to come out, but the door was locked from the outside and when they managed to come, found her dead, the OC added.

The body was sent to sadar hospital morgue for autopsy, said the OC.
