‘Drug trader’ killed in Kushtia ‘gunfight’

Kushtia: A suspected drug trader was killed in a reported gunfight between two groups of drug traders at Chadgram of Bheramara upazilaon early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Ratan Ali, reports the UNB.
Being informed about a gunfight between two groups of drug traders, a team of police conducted a drive near 4 no. bridge area around 3 am, said Khandaker Shamim Uddin, officer-in-charge of Bheramara Police Station.
Sensing the presence of the law enforcers, the drug traders fled away from the scene.
Later, police recovered the bullet-hit body from the spot and sent it to Kushtia General Hospital.
