41 people held in Benapole

Benapole: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested 41Bangladeshi people, including 12 women and nine children, while they were returning home from India without any valid documents through Putkhali border here on Friday.
Being informed that a group of Bangladeshis are entering the country without valid documents, a team of BGB -21 went to the bordering area and arrested them, said Lt Col Imran Ullah Sarkar, commanding officer of BGB-21 battalion, reports the UNB.
They hail from Barishal, Narail and Bagerhat districts.
Later, the arrestees were handed over to Benapole Port Police Station, he added.
