Sylhet: A trader was found dead inside his business establishment in front of Tajpur College beside Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Osmaninagar upazila on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Yusuf Ali, 24, owner of ‘Mayer Doa’, a shop of auto-rickshaw parts and son of Riasat Ali of Golapganj upazila, reports the UNB.

Being informed by local people, police recovered the body of Yusuf Ali from his shop in the morning and sent it to Sylhet Osmani Medcial College and Hospital morgue, said SM Al Mamun, officer-in-charge of Osmaninagar Police Station.

The head, ear and some portion of Yusuf’s face was found smashed as he was hit by a hard object, said police.

However, the motive behind the killing could not be known yet.
