Khagrachhari: A college student was gunned down by miscreants in Narankhia Red Square area of the district town on Tuesday evening.

The deceased was identified as Tushar Chakma, 22, a student of Khagrachhari Government College and resident of Laxmichhari here, reports the UNB.

Quoting locals, Mahadat Hossain Titu, officer-in-charge of Panchhari Police Station, said the miscreants in a motorcycle opened fire on Tushar around 6pm and fled the scene, leaving him dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, he said.
