Bangladesh women off to flying start outplaying Nepal
Dhaka: Bangladesh Women’s team captain Zannat Zebin Hia’s record highest five goals helped her side to a smashing start in the 4th Roll Ball World Cup, with an 8-2 victory against Nepal at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Indoor Stadium in Mirpur on Saturday.
Hia fired her first in just the 3rd minute for Bangladesh to take the lead, but that was leveled by Nepal player Silwal Garisha in the 5th minute, 1-1.
Bangladesh doubled with Affra Nawar Raisa’s score in the 11th minute while Shati added another one in the last minute 15th minute to lead the first half by 3-1 goals.
Noushin Tabassum struck in the very first minute of the 2nd half for Bangladesh while Hia scored her 2nd and 3rd goals within the minute of 27th, 6-1.
Shrestha Liza reduced the margin for Nepal in the 28th minute. Hia added her last two within the span of the 29th minute, as the hosts wrapped up proceedings at a canter.
