The social media was far from impressed as the US Vice President Joe Biden was seen whispering into the ears of Stephanie Carter, wife of the new US defence secretary, Ashton Carter, during his swearing-in ceremony, reports Washington Post.

The social networking site Twitter instantly started calling Biden names for his ‘poor etiquette’,

This wasn’t the first time Biden was seen being over-familiar, says Washington Post.

The US media said that earlier he was seen in a photograph in similar position with a biker.

Likewise, in the swearing-in ceremony of US Senator Chris Coon, he was caught on camera whispering into Coon’s daughter Maggie Coon’s ears.
