Mamata greets Sheikh Hasina for getting awarded DLitt
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday greeted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as she was awarded the Doctorate of Literature (DLitt) degree by Kazi Nazrul University in Asansol.
The West Bengal chief minister extended her greetings when she made a courtesy call on Sheikh Hasina at Hotel Taj Bengal, Kolkata.
PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed reporters after the meeting.
He said Mamata thanked Hasina for visiting West Bengal and joining the convocations of Bisva Bharati University and Kazi Nazrul University.
She also highly appreciated Bangladesh’s tremendous socioeconomic development under Hasina’s leadership.
Hasina also praised Mamata for making remarkable development in West Bengal, particularly setting up Kazi Nazrul University and Kazi Nazrul Airport in Asansol.
