Caught on cam: Mumbai woman mows down people, hits vehicles
A footage of CCTV camera showing an overspeeding car ramming into other vehicles and people in Mumbai’s Dharavi is going viral on social media in India.
The incident took place on 19 June. According to a report in news agency ANI, total five people have been injured in the incident. Moreover, two of them are critical. The driver has been arrested and the case has been registered with the police.
The driver of the car has been identified as a 19-year-old Government Law College student. Two of the injured persons were admitted in Sion hospital for treatment.
In the CCTV footage, a car can be seen running into people, then hitting an autorickshaw, a bike and another car before stopping at a traffic light junction. A woman on the co-passenger seat can also be seen jumping out of that car.
According to the police, the woman had taken the car on rent and was going to attend a party with two of her friends when the incident happened.
