This is the moment a heartless son uses his mother as a human shield to stop another man moving his tractor in India.

The frail and obviously elderly woman is dragged like a sack of potatoes across the ground by the son, and then shockingly thrown in front of the tractor, reports the Daily Mail.

When she tries to crawl away, she is grabbed and dragged back in front of the tractor and clearly suffers as she is thrown around to make sure that the tractor is immobilized.

The shocking footage happened in the village of Mungla, which is located in western India's Maharashtra State, where the man who was dragging his mother around was caught up in a dispute with the other man who was driving the tractor.

The matter had reportedly been decided by a local court in favour of the tractor driver from the Raut family, who had then set out to cultivate his land.

But the loser from the Dalvi family refused to accept the Tehsil Court judgement, and took his mother along in order to make sure he could force the tractor driver to abandon his plans for cultivation.

Video footage was widely shared on social media of the incident and police have confirmed they are investigating against the son.

The full names of those involved however were not revealed.

It was also revealed that one person has been arrested, although it was not revealed who this was.
