Five boys between the age of eight and 14 allegedly raped an eight-year-old girl after watching porn in Sahaspur area near Dehradun in India. The minors were taken to a correction home on Monday, four days after the alleged gang rape on July 12.  An FIR was registered by the victim’s family on Saturday at Sahaspur Police station, two days after the incident, reports timesnownews.com.

According to a report in The Indian Express, the group of five boys after watching porn on a mobile phone called the victim to the home of one of the accused. The boys invited the girl, who was their neighbour, during the evening hours as her parents were out of the house at that time. She was allegedly lured to the home by toffees and chocolates. The minor was then allegedly sexually assaulted by the boys.

According to the IE report, a family member of the boy in whose house the girl was lured caught the boys red-handed and dispersed them while sending the girl home. Because of the trauma she suffered, the victim nearly stopped speaking. Her mother noticed the change in her behaviour and started questioning her. After two days the girl broke down and revealed her ordeal to her mother. After that, the family of the victim filed an FIR and the boys were sent to a correction home on Monday.

In another such incident reported earlier this month from Uttar Pradesh, a four-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped by four minor boys. The boys between the ages of six and 10 were later sent to a juvenile home in Kanpur by police. According to a police investigation, the boys in Kanpur used to watch a lot of porn on their mobile phone, NDTV had reported. The girl was playing outside her house when the boys allegedly took her to an isolated area and allegedly gang-raped her.
