Officers of Meerut police unit, India were recently seen abusing and slapping a young girl for choosing a Muslim partner in a video that went viral recently.

In the video, a male police officer is seen abusing the girl for choosing a partner of another religion while the woman constable slapped the girl repeatedly.

The police officer said, ‘Mulla zada pasand aaraha?’ to the girl while she was being slapped and assaulted by the lady cop sitting in the behind, reports the indiatoday.com.

The incident took place two days ago in the Medical area of Meerut where the girl and her male friend were caught by locals in an objectionable position. The locals and a few VHP members created a ruckus and then took them to the police station.

The VHP members also asked the girl’s father to file a case against the boy. However, he denied and said that the whole scenario is just a misunderstanding.

The video that went viral was widely circulated on social media. Later, the three policemen and woman constable, who were seen in the video, were suspended.
