Close shave for woman as she climbs onto platform
Mumbai: A woman who was trying to climb onto a platform from the tracks was hit by a train at Dadar station around 10.30pm on Friday.
But the motorman applied brakes on spotting her from a distance, which considerably reduced the impact, reports the indiatimes.com.
RPF officers said the woman suffered injuries but refused to let the personnel take her to hospital and left the station.
RPF personnel said the woman may have ventured towards the tracks to relieve herself. An Up Kasara local was arriving on platform 6 when the woman crossed the tracks and tried to get onto the platform.
The train hit her and dragged her for some distance as horrified passengers looked on. As the motorman applied brakes, the train halted quickly and a female constable rushed to her aid.
She was pulled out of the gap between the train and platform as other passengers helped calm her down and offered her water. The woman left without providing details about herself.
