‘Bangladesh India's most important neighbour’

New Delhi: Adviser of National Security Council (NSC) of India, Ajit Doval, said that Bangladesh is India‘s most important neighbour‘ and called for exploiting the full potential of bilateral cooperation, ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s visit to Bangladesh on June.
Doval gave full credit to Modi for the ratification of the Land Boundary Agreement while addressing the concluding session of the Sixth India Bangladesh Friendship Dialogue, reports Asian News International (ANI).
He said that India was proud to have a neighbour who is fully responsive to its security sensitivities whether it was insurgency or counterfeit currency.
ANI reports quoting the Security Council adviser that India had longest border with Bangladesh and it was a matter of great satisfaction that the two countries had now a clearly demarcated land and maritime border
