Satkhira doctors go on indefinite strike
Satkhira: Doctors of public hospitals and private clinics in Satkhira went on an indefinite strike on Tuesday, demanding the withdrawal of a murder case filed against doctors and Ekota Hospital.
Bangladesh Medical Association’s (BMA’s) Satkhira unit acting general secretary Dr Manowar Hossain told reporters that BMA extended support to the strike enforced by the doctors of the district.
Earlier, the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case against eight people, including three doctors of Ekota Hospital as a pregnant woman, Sumona, died after surgery at that hospital on 17 September.
