Gopalganj: Police recovered the body of a college student from Pinggolia village under Kashiani upazila in Gopalganj on Friday.

The deceased is Mehedi Mollah, 15, son of Mohsin Mollah, a 1st year student of Alfadanga Government College.

Monirul Islam, Kashiani police officer-in-charge said, family members found Mehedi’s body in a paddy field near his house at the village at about 9:00am and informed police.

On information police recovered the body and sent in to Gopalganj 250-bed General Hospital.

The victim’s family members said Mehedi went missing after he left the house on Thursday.

There was injury marks on the neck of Mehedi’s body and he might have been strangulated to death, added the OC.
