Jessore: A motorcyclist and his daughter were killed as a truck hit his motorcycle on Jessore–Khulna highway in Singiya area of Abhoynagar upazila of Jessore on Friday morning.

The deceased is Insan Ali Hawlader, 52, and his daughter Farzana Akhter Sumi, 19, hailing from Khulna city.

Noayapara Highway police officer-in-charge KM Azizul Islam said, a khulna-bound truck rammed the Jessore-bound motorcycle in the area at about 7:30am, leaving the duo dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the bodies.

Police also arrested helper Sohan in this connection and seized the truck.
