Mymensingh: A minor girl was killed as a rashly-driven truck ran over her at Beltali in Mymensingh on Saturday morning.

The deceased was Asha, daughter of Alal Uddin of the village.

Police said a speeding truck ran over the girl in the area at about 7:30am while she was crossing the road, leaving her dead on the spot.

Informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Agitating local people blocked Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway for an hour protesting the accident.
