2 sisters killed in road crash

Jamalpur: Two sisters were killed in a road crash when their CNG-run auto rickshaw collided with a pick-up van at Sadar upazila in Jamalpur on Sunday morning.
The deceased are Pangkha Begum, wife of Shahijan, resident of the village of Bahadurpur in Islampur upazila, and her sister, Hawa Begum, resident of the village of Shajimara.
Four people were also injured during the accident.
The Jamalpur police said the sisters were died on the spot as a fish-laden auto rickshaw collided with the CNG-run auto rickshaw on Jamalpur-Melandaha road over the Jhunai Bridge.
The injured were taken to local clinic and hospital while the bodies were kept at District Sadar Hospital, said the police.
