Lalmonirhat: A priest of a Lalmonirhat church filed a general diary with the local police on Saturday night as he received death threat through a letter claimed to have been sent from ISIS, reports United News of Bangladesh.

Tapan Kumar Barman, father of Church of God, filed the GD with Sadar Police Station.

The Sadar police officer-in-charge said Tapan had received death threat through the letter on Thursday.

He received the letter from Bangladesh commander of Middle East-based militant outfit Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS).

The letter sender threatened the priest to stay ready to receive death by 20 December.
