Kushtia: Two people were killed and another injured as a truck hit a motorcycle on the Kushtia-Chuadanga Highway at Nalkhola in Mirpur upazila of Kushtia on Friday.

The deceased are Munib, a resident of the district, and his sister-in-law Jahanara, a resident of Shailkupa upazila in Jhenaidah.

Quoting witnesses, police said the accident took place in the area at about 10:00am when a motorcycle carrying three people hit a truck from behind while overtaking the truck, leaving two people dead on the spot and another injured.

Injured Lata was taken to Kushita General Hospital.

Later police went to the spot and sent the bodies to morgue for autopsy.
