Fire at Dhaka Airport office room
Dhaka: A fire broke out inside the office of the officer-in-charge (Immigration) at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Sunday morning, reports local news agency.
However, no causality or major damage was reported as the flame was doused instantly by internal fire extinguishers of the airport, according to airport sources.
Airport Armed Police (AAP) ASP Morshed Jahan said the fire originated from an electric short circuit at about 8:30am but it was doused instantly through the airport’s internal arrangements.
No casualty was reported in the incident, she added.
Ataur Rahman, duty officer of fire service headquarters control room, said the control room was not informed about the incident.
‘The fire might have been by doused by their internal arrangement,’ he added.
