Air Force training aircraft crashes in Chittagong

Chittagong: A training aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) crashed at Borohatia Haridarghona in Lohagara upazila on Tuesday afternoon.
Rezaul Karim, assistant director of Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR), said the aircraft crashed around 2:45 pm.
Additional Police Super of Chittagong Rezaul Masud said the aircraft went up in flames following the crash.
However, the pilot and copilot of the aircraft managed to came down safely pulling up their parachutes although they suffered slight injuries while coming down, said Md Shahjahan, officer-in-charge of Lohagara Police Station.
Later, a BAF helicopter rushed in and rescued them, the OC said.
It was not clear what caused the training aircraft to crash.
