3 killed as truck hits motorbike in Ctg

Chittagong: Three motorcyclists were killed as a truck hit their motorbike in rail gate area under Akbar Shah thana in the port city Chittagong early on Friday.
The deceased are Nizam Uddin, in his thirties, of Agrabad area in the city, Kamrul Islam, around 20 years old, from Chhagalnaiya upazila in Feni and Mohammad Rezaul, believed to be 30, resident of Bagerhat.
Mohammad Alamgir, Officer-in-Charge of Akbar Shah Police Station, said the truck rammed the motorcycle carrying the trio in rail gate area, leaving two of them dead on the spot and another injured.
Later, the injured was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where doctors declared him dead, the OC said.
Police detained the driver and the helper of the truck and seized the truck, he added.
