Panchagarh: Rezia Khatun, a stone worker was killed when a truck hit her in Share Noymile area of Sadar upazila in Panchagarh on Monday night.

Rezia Khatun is a resident of the village of Jamuriduar at Satmera union of Panchagarh Sadar upazila, also wife of Hakim Uddin.

The Panchagarh police and witnesses said Rezia was returning home by an auto-bike, utility vehicle used for public transport, from Bhajanpur area of Tetulia upazila. The Tetulia-bound truck hit her when she got off the utility vehicle and was crossing the road in Share Noymile area on the Panchagarh-Tetulia Highway.

Later she was taken to Panchagarh Modern Sadar Hospital in critical condition, where doctor declared her dead.
