Two people including a small boy were killed in separate road accidents in Kushtia and lakshmipur on Saturday.

In Kushtia, a minor boy was crushed under a human hauler in Taragunia Mandalpara area of Daulatpur upazila in the morning.

The deceased is Ariyan, about 3 years old, son of Oman expatriate Sharif Uddin.

Shah Dara Khan, officer-in-charge of Daulatpur Police Station, said that the accident took place on Daulatpur-Thana intersection road when the human hauler (locally named as Nasiman) hit Ariyan, leaving him dead on the spot.

On information, police recovered the body.

In lakshmipur, a motorcyclist was killed as a bus hit him in front of Jadia Madrasa on Dhaka-Laxmipur road in the morning.

The accident took place when a bus knocked down the motorbike ridden by Ismail Hossain, a resident of Torabganj area in Kamalnagar upazila, leaving him dead on the spot.

On information, police rushed in and recovered the body but killer bus is yet to be seized, said Md Mokter Hossain, officer-in-charge of Chandraganj Police Station.
