Sewerage worker goes missing in Dhaka manhole

A sewerage worker went missing after entering a manhole to clean a drainage system near Chalantika intersection on Milk Vita Road in Mirpur-7 in Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon.
A group of sewerage workers went down the manhole to clean the line in the afternoon, said M Abdullah Al Arefin, senior station officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence, reports the UNB.
All except one worker, aged between 18-20, subsequently came out, Arefin said.
Following this, his colleagues informed Fire Service and Civil Defence.
However, fire fighters couldn’t find the missing worker till filing this report at 9:20pm, said Arefin.
