Bodies of 2 more Rohingyas recovered from Naf River

Cox’s Bazar: Bodies of two more Rohingyas, including a child, were recovered from the Naf River at Sabrang in Teknaf upazila on Thursday after a boat carrying Rohingyas sank in the river on Thursday.

Mohammad Main Uddin, officer-in-charge (OC) of Teknaf police station, said the bodies of an unidentified woman and a child were recovered from the area around 7:30am.

Earlier, a boat carrying around 13 Rohingyas sank in the river at Jaliapara of Shahparir Dwip area under Teknaf upazila while trying to enter Bangladesh amid fresh violence in Rakhaine state of Myanmar on Tuesday.

With the two, bodies of eight people have been recovered.
