Madaripur: Two people including a woman were killed and eight others injured in a road accident in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Tuesday morning.
The deceased are Farhad Hossain, about 33 years old, of Mithapur village in Sadar upazila 
and Sarupa Begum, about 55 years old, a resident of Nisabdi village under Rajoir upazila of 
the district.
Madaripur Superintendent of Police Sarwar Hossain said the accident occurred in the area at about 10 am when a bus rammed into an easy bike from the opposite direction, leaving easy bike passenger Farhad dead on the spot and nine others injured.
The injured were sent to Madaripur Sadar Hospital where Sarupa succumbed to her injuries.
Among the injured, four were shifted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
