4 killed in Brahmanbaria bus-truck collision

Brahmanbaria: Four people were killed and 8 others were injured when a bus collided head-on with a truck at Sarail upazila in Brahmanbaria on Sunday morning.

The deceased were Momin Miah, 40, a resident of Sadar upazila, Syed Uddin, 55, a resident of Madhabpur upazila in Habiganj district, Parvin, 35, wife of Al Amin of Alamnagar in Ashuganj upazila in Brahmanbaria district and three-month old Nur-Nabi, son of Habibur Rahman of Mathbaria upazila in Pirojpur.

The Highway police Officer-in-charge (OC) Mohammad Yunus Mia told NTV Online the accident took place in Malihati area of the upazila at about 7:00am.

OC said the identities of the casualties could not be known immediately. The injured were sent to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital, and Sarail Upazila Hospital.

However, women and children are among the deceased.
