Nasrul Hamid’s mother dies
Hasna Hamid, mother of state minister for power, energy and mineral resources Nasrul Hamid, passed away early Saturday. She was 76.
Hasna Hamid, also wife of Hamidur Rahman, former treasurer of Awami League and lawmaker, and a close associate of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, breathed his last at a hospital in Singapore early in the morning.
She had been suffering from cancer for a long time, according to a message from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).
The first namaj-e-janaza of the deceased will be held at Gulshan Azad Mosque in the city after Johr prayer.
The second namaj-e-janaza will be held at Keraniganj Dowleshwar field after Asr prayer while the third one will be held at her residence.
Later, she will be buried at the family graveyard in Keraniganj.
