Barisal: An electrician was killed in a road accident at Choumohoni in Uzirpur upazila of Barisal on Saturday night.

Police said the accident took place when a battery-run auto-rickshaw collided with a motorcycle, leaving motorbike driver Titu Hawladar, in his thirties, a resident of Dhamsar village, dead on the spot and the pillion rider injured.

Titu was an electrician by profession, said Helal Uddin, officer-in-charge (Investigation) of Uzirpur Police Station, adding police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for autopsy.
