Thakurgaon : Two people were killed and seven others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in Satyopir Bridge area of Thakurgaon on Wednesday morning.

UNB news says one of the deceased is 40-year-old Aiyub Ali, a resident of Begunpara area in Sadar upazila of Panchagarh.

The Sadar police said a Panchagarh-bound Ahsan Enterprise bus from Comilla collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction in the area at about 9:30am, leaving Aiyub Ali, passenger of the bus, dead on the spot and eight people injured.

The injured were admitted to Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital where another injured was died.
