Islamic University: A student of English Department of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia died on Friday at Northern International Medical College and Hospital in Dhaka, university sources said.

The deceased is Millon Mollah, 25, son of Hishab Mollah in Meherpur district.

Family sources said Millon received serious crack injuries when he fell down from a tree on 27 December.

He was rushed to National Institute of Traumatology & Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR) in Dhaka on the day.

Later, he was shifted to the ICU of Northern Hospital as his health condition deteriorated where he succumbed to his injuries on Friday noon.
