Gazipur: A garment waste warehouse was gutted by a fire that broke out at Gazipur’s Khailkoir on Saturday.

Fire service sources said the fire originated from an electric short circuit in the warehouse at about 7:00am and spread soon.

On information, six firefighting units rushed in and extinguished the blaze. It took them an hour to bring the fire under control.

According to a UNB report, none was injured in the incident, but valuables, including some machinery, in the warehouse were damaged.

The owner of the warehouse claimed that the loss caused by the fire was about Tk 3 lakh.
