Man dies of cardiac arrest while chasing robbers

Jhenaidah: A man was died of cardiac arrest when he came out of his residence as villagers made noises while chasing a group of robbers at Kotchandpur upazila in Jhenaidah in the early hours of Friday.
The deceased is Abu Daud Khan, in his sixties, a resident of the village of Rahmatpur.
Local people said two people, Montu Khan, and Shafiuddin, were injured as a group of robbers attack on them. Later, the villagers caught a robber red handed and gave him a good thrash. The robber is Tahajjat, in his thirties. Three of them were taken to Kotchanpur Upazila Health Complex.
Mintu Khan, son of Montu Khan, said a group of around 12 robbers attacked on their residence at about 12:00am. Sensing the presence of robber, he shouted for help. The robbers broke into their house and beat residents of the house.
Mintu said hearing him screaming, villagers rushed to their house and started to chase them. Meanwhile they also caught one of the robbers, Tahajjad.
Mintu’s uncle, Abu Daud Khan went to the spot to see the detained robber and died of cardiac arrest out of excitement.
The Kotchandpur police Inspector Joynul Abedin said the villagers held an injured man named Tahajjud. Details about the incident would be known after interrogating him.
