Bagerhat: A vegetable vendor was killed as a passenger bus hit a human hauler on Bagerhat-Khulna road in Fulbari area of Sadar upazila on Sunday morning.

The deceased is Akkas Fakir, about 36 years old, from Majhidanga village in Sadar upazila.

The accident took place when the Bagerhat-bound passenger bus rammed the human hauler, carrying vegetables, in the morning, leaving its driver-cum-vegetable vendor dead on the spot, said Lutfor Rahman, sub-inspector of Bagerhat Model Police Station.
