Dhaka: Two young men suffered burns in boiler explosion of a dying factory in capital’s Mirpur area in the early hours of Monday.

The injured are Swapan, a resident of Bhola, and Arif, from Shonaimuri upazila in Noakhali.

The injured were taken to the Burn Unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Swapan’s father Bashir Ahmed told NTV Online the explosion occurred at about 4:00am at Active Dying factory in section-7, Mirpur, and left Swapan and Arif critically burnt.

DMCH resident physician Partha Shankar Paul said Swapan with 95 per cent and Arif with 90 per cent burns were fighting for life.
