Dhaka: A fire broke out in a slum in the capital’s Rayer Bazar area on Monday morning.

Fire Service and Civil Defence control room duty officer Palash Chandra Madhu said the fire erupted in Sabed Ali slum in the area at about 9:30am.

Five units of fire-fighters went to the area and brought the flame under control within a short time.

The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
