Sylhet: A Saudi expatriate was killed in a road accident in Dhamaichhara area of Rajnagar upazila in Muulvibazar on Sunday.

The deceased is Kutub Uddin, 45, a resident of Mallickpur village of Fenchuganj upazila in Sylhet and a Saudi expatriate.

Family sources said the accident took place in the area in the evening as a CNG run auto-rickshaw carrying him collided with another one while he was returning from a marriage ceremony, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was rushed to Sylhet Ibn Sina Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at about 12:00am, says a UNB report.
