Train kills man while listening to songs lying on rail tracks

Thakurgaon: A young man was crushed under the wheels of a train in Ruhia area in Sadar upazila of Thakurgaon on Wednesday night while he was listening to songs on his mobile phone lying down on the railway tracks.

The deceased was identified as Taherul Islam, in his twenties, of East Kujisahar village in Sadar upazila.

Pradip Kumar Roy, officer-in charge of Ruhia Police Station, said the youth was run over by a Parbatipur-bound Demu train nearby his house as he was absorbed in listening to music on his mobile set lying on railway tracks.
