Feni: A police constable was killed as a police-van fell into a roadside ditch at Kaska in Feni.

Two other policemen were also injured in the accident.

The deceased is Mohammad Rafique, believed to be 33, was appointed at police check post in Muhuriganj.

Muhuriganj police post duty official sub-inspector Joynal Abedin told NTV Online a truck hit the police-van while a patrolling team was guarding on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Kaska.

The van plunged into a roadside ditch at about 2:30am and left constable Rafique died on the spot, said the SI.

The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
