Rangpur: Three workers were killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a utility vehicle at Jaigirhat Pakapul on the Rangpur-Bogra Highway in Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur on Tuesday night.

The deceased are Mithun Mian, Titul Mian, and Rashedul Islam, residents of village Shirudanga under Mithapukur upazila, reports BSS.

Witnesses said the Dhaka-bound Taj Paribahan bus from Thakurgaon collided head-on with a wood-laden Nasimon in the area at about 11:30pm, leaving three labourers on the utility vehicle dead on the spot.

The Mithapukur police recovered the bodies and sent those to Rangpur Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
