Three picnickers died and four others fell sick after taking excessive quantity of liquor at Enayetpur village in Badalgachhi upazila of Naogaon on Saturday.

The deceased could not be identified immediately.

Badalgachhi Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Rafiqul Islam, of, said seven people fell sick after taking liquor while on a picnic at night.

They hailed from Sadar upazila and Badalgacchi upazila of the district.

They were rushed to Sadar hospital.

Meanwhile, the doctors referred three people to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital following deterioration of their condition. Later they died on way to Rajshahi, said the OC.
