Five people were killed and 20 others injured in a fatal road accident at Noy Mile on Bogra-Dhaka highway in Shahjahanpur thana of Bogra  on Monday afternoon.

The identities of the deceased are yet to be known, reports the UNB.

The accident took place when a bus collided head-on with a covered van around 4:00pm, leaving five people dead on the spot, said Officer-in-Charge of Shahjahanpur Police Station Zia Latiful Islam.

The injured were rushed to Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital.
