Comilla: Four people, including three of a family were killed in as their private car head-on collided with a bus at Daudkandi in Comilla in the early hours of Tuesday.

The deceased are- Fazlur Rahman Bari, a physician of Sher-e-Bangla Mental Hospital in Dhaka, his wife Asmaul Husna, their daughter Fahmida Faiza Sneha, and domestic held Sheema.

Two others were also injured during the accident. The injured, Fazlur Bari’s daughter Fabiha Bushra Bari Faiza, and his son Shahjalal Ariyan Bari, were taken to Dhaka for better treatment.

The Daudkandi police said the accident occurred on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway when Dhaka-bound private car from Comilla collided with a Chittagong-bound Unique Paribahan bus from Dhaka near Gauripur at about 2:00am and left Fazlur Rahman and his wife dead on the spot.

Critically injured Sneha, and Sheema died on their way to Daudkandi Health Complex.

Iliotganj Highway police post in-charge Monirul Islam said the bodies were kept at Daudkandi police station.
